It shows great ways to incorporate a counter hit into your defensive reactions and it stresses aggressive combinations when there is an opening to advance and punish your opponent. Where there is not an opening, Alan shows you how to make one with your fists and your timing. Alan stresses intuitive flow of action and offense by ‘feel’- very much in line with JKD’s core teachings.This is filmed in the gym and Alan does not just lecture- he puts the gloves on and works the pad man to show you how you need to train to get down the principles he imparts.
